On August 11th, Sendelta welcomed 200 vibrant freshmen. To help these newbies integrate into the campus quickly, various departments of the school meticulously planned a three-day series of activities. Every link is filled with Sendelta's unique warmth and vitality. After three days, the freshmen have gained knowledge, found a sense of belonging, and embarked on a wonderful prospect of studying international courses.

Academics as the Foundation: Igniting the Spark of Knowledge

Studying international courses comes with challenges, but Sendelta has paved a clear path for freshmen. The AP/AL department briefings and course selection guidance sessions help students clarify their learning frameworks; the rigorous and detailed laboratory operation safety training conveys the school's emphasis on academic norms.

The Spelling Bee competition, in the form of a relaxed competition, makes freshmen aware of the importance of language proficiency - the smiles on the award stage are the first sign of confidence in their academic journey.

Ice-Breaking: From "Me" to "Us"

"How to make friends quickly?" Sendelta's answer lies in every interaction.

The freshman psychological experience activity is a "catalyst" for getting closer to each other. Freshmen let go of their shyness, introduce themselves, interact with each other, get to know their peers, and understand the functions of various school departments. In a short time, they break down barriers and feel the warmth of the collective.

In the senior-junior meeting, excellent and enthusiastic seniors form groups with freshmen, answering questions such as the confusion of transferring from public schools to international schools and campus accommodation and catering, and sharing their experiences. Everyone has  groupchats, so that freshmen have "guides" and feel more at ease about campus life.

The CS competition pushes the atmosphere to a climax. Freshmen fight side by side, strive for the team's victory, forget their strangeness, form tacit understanding, and foster friendship.

Campus Exploration: Falling in Love with Sendelta Through Games

The freshman campus exploration is Sendelta's "original signature activity". The original script plus immersive exploration makes the campus a huge puzzle-solving stage. Freshmen turn into "detectives", shuttling between the dance studio, laboratory, and lecture hall. In the tension of the script killing and the joy of teamwork, they keep in mind the campus functions. When the puzzle is solved, the seeds of friendship have quietly sprouted - the moments of clapping and cheering are the best proof of collective cohesion.
